Another sweet success! The 2nd annual Doggone Dessert Party once again featured delectable desserts made by local chefs, the canine and kitty staffed kissing booth was a favorite. A silent auction inspired friendly bidding competition while "Doc" McAmis joined by Greg Kaylor entertained all with live music. A very sweet time was enjoyed by over 60 supporters at the Dixie Dogs & Cats Doggone Dessert Party.  The event, held at the Museum Center at Five Points, featured delectable desserts made by local chefs, the favorite being Bananas Foster by Bene’ and Judge Van Deacon. John Bradley serving as Master of Ceremonies kept everyone laughing and a canine and kitty staffed kissing booth brought many oohs and ahhs. A silent auction inspired friendly bidding competition while ‘Doc’ McAmis entertained with live music.

Two major announcements were made by director, Betti Gravelle.  The group has purchased a commercial modular building to be used as a spay/neuter clinic and a private donor has pledged $10,000 for equipment. “This puts us well on our way to making spay/neuter surgery affordable for all” stated board member Larry Burns.  The fun-filled event raised $1800.00 to aid in the set-up of the low-cost clinic.  Dixie Dogs & Cats Board members expressed much gratitude to all who generously donated to and attended the event.
