Our Mission..
*To end the killing of healthy companion animals by providing affordable and accessible spay/neuter surgery.
*To subsidize the existing spay/neuter fees, when necessary, for  low-income and/or those who own multiple pets or foster animals.
*To educate the public on the pet overpopulation crisis and the importance of spay/neuter surgery.

This is Salome and her nine two-week old babies. She was rescued from the Cleveland Animal Control parking lot . She is in desperate need of a foster home that can keep her until her puppies are old enough to be adopted or a Rescue group that can take her. She is crate-trained, house-trained, and leash trained. She is gentle as a lamb with no aggression issues. As with any Momma of ...new babies she is protective of them around other dogs. She gives sweet kisses and loves to cuddle. She is a beautiful smallish (25LB) solid white dog, maybe a Boston Terrier mix. Please, if you have any room at all for Salome and her children call Betti at 618-2101.

Progress toward “a no-kill community” made
High fives and hugs abounded at Dixie Day Spay when the year-end results came in from Cleveland Animal Control.  ‘The results we were hoping to see in three years appear to have taken place in one year, we are thrilled’, states Dr. Michael Guedron, the low-cost spay/neuter clinic’s veterinarian.  The numbers from Animal Control show that 1547 less animals entered the shelter in the past fiscal year;  272 less dogs, 214 less puppies, 324 less cats and an amazing 737 less kittens.  Click here to read the press release.
Dixie Day Spay T-shirts and tank tops for sale! Support us by buying one for you, your friends and family. Only $7 - a fun way to help us spay and neuter more critters. Come by the clinic from 8am to 8pm Monday thru Thursday. Noon to 5 on Fridays or anytime there's a car in the parking lot. For $2 we'll ship one to ya!!
Don't be a part of the problem - Be a part of the solution. Have your pet spayed or neutered. Thousands of animals languish and die alone in shelters every day. Many are the products of unplanned and irresponsible breeding. Don't let the offspring of an animal that you allowed to reproduce end up this way. Spaying and neutering helps to ensure the health and safety of your pet, and makes you a responsible member of your community.
