A New Year and a new life for a few unwanted dogs and cats.

By Beth Foster, Cleveland Daily Banner
Associate Editor

It started in Bradley County with three feral puppies. At 9 months old, the three Corgi/Spitz mix dogs had never been touched by human hands.
They had managed to survive by wit, cunning and instinct, finding the food, water and shelter necessary to sustain life, as their wild ancestors had done.
However, they had to be removed from the property, which was now for sale, on which they had been living.
A Cleveland woman contacted Dixie Dog & Cats Director Betti Gravelle. With 7,000 tame dogs and cats being killed each year at Cleveland Animal Control, was there any possibility of finding homes for three wild puppies?
